I’m back in Singapore (and battling jetlag) but full of fond memories of my trip and month-long stay in New York. I had several guests staying with me in my apartment and my first guest was Lorraine, who is a regular contributor to this site. You can view her articles here.

One of the things that was top on her list was to visit the High Line, the old railway in Chelsea that has been converted to an elevated park. It has quickly become one of the top tourist destinations in New York and it’s not hard to see why.

The landscaping is unique and there are plenty of spaces for relaxation and entertainment. Views of the Hudson on on sie and The industrial feel of Chelsea on the other add to the charm. The area is quickly developing into a hotspot in New York City with construction around the High Line now booming.

On parts of the track they kept the railway in place.

I wore a print silk dress (brand is Moscow) for the walk. It’s a very versatile piece since it can also be worn much shorter as a top. It’s airy and breezy so perfect for the humid New York weather in August. Red accessories and shoes complete the look.

Lorraine looked super chic in a striped dress.

I spotted these elegant Asian ladies on the High Line as well.

I visited the High Line with every other visitor that came to New York, so I visited the High Line multiple times as it was a short work from where I stayed in New York. I never grew tired of it and hope to visit again in the future!
